My name is Cassandra and I live near the beach in the panhandle of Florida. I am divorced, happy, and independent.
Unlike Snow White, I have not slept my life away. I have observed and learned, and now want to share my observations, knowledge, and skills with others in a hope to open eyes, hearts, souls, and help others really live life.
I am Greek, Episcopalian, and work in Community Mental Health. I am an all around nice girl trying to navigate this world without getting too beat up in the process.
Welcome to my world.
Life is not a fairy tale, but it is not a horror movie either....it is a combination of both in all the variations they come in. This blog is my observations of the good and bad, the fun and scary, the real and honest accounts of life.

I was born and raised in Florida. I was married to a man in the Air Force so I have lived in Wyoming, Germany, and Georgia. I have one daughter by birth and one by guardianship. Both are grown and married.
I was married in 1985 at age 19 and divorced in 1999 at age 34. I started dating at the beginning of the online dating scene. I have had a few relationships in the last 15 years, but am still single. This is not "Sex in the City," more like "Flirting in the Suburbs." But I also talk about my kids, parenting, friends, family, faith, and the general life of a nice girl moving through the world hoping to not get beat up too badly along the way.
I have a great job in the mental health field, wonderful friends, and a great relationship with my kids and their husbands. My degree is in business but I am a director at a social service agency which I love. Despite my efforts to work in the corporate world, I am happiest in non-profit social services so here I will stay. At least for now......
This blog is about life, relationships in the new era of online dating, kids, religion, scams, high technology, careers, balancing, video chatting, instant access everywhere, and faith. And knowing that Fairy Tales do not really exist. It is just my musings from a world that is pretty boring, mundane, but that makes me grow and continually challenges my preconceived notions of what happiness can look like.
Please leave feedback and comments. Also, click on the buttons below so I can get free listings in Blog directories. :) Thanks.
